Activate your TradeReign ORB strategy license

Use this guide after TradeReign enables ORB strategy access for your account. Your dashboard provides the protected download and lets you generate the license key used inside NinjaTrader.

TradeReign does not place trades from this page. You control whether and how the strategy is used inside NinjaTrader.

Before you start

  • You need NinjaTrader 8 installed and working.
  • You need ORB strategy access enabled on your TradeReign account.
  • Download the protected strategy package from your TradeReign dashboard.
  • Generate or copy your dashboard license key. It starts with trsk_.
  • The full license key is only shown immediately after it is generated or rotated.

Setup steps

Download the strategy package

Sign in to your TradeReign dashboard and use the ORB Strategy Access card to download the protected NinjaTrader strategy package. Do not install source files unless TradeReign support specifically tells you to.

Import it into NinjaTrader

Open NinjaTrader Control Center, then go to Tools, Import, NinjaScript Add-On. Choose the package file and complete the import prompts.

Add the strategy to a chart

Open the chart you want to use, right-click the chart, choose Strategies, then select the TradeReign ORB strategy.

Paste your license key

In the TradeReign dashboard, generate or copy your ORB strategy license key. In NinjaTrader, paste it into TradeReign License Key in the strategy's TradeReign License section.

Confirm the server and product fields

Leave TradeReign License Server URL set to https://trade-reign.com and leave TradeReign Product set to orb-strategy.

Enable the strategy

Set Enabled to true, then apply the strategy. A valid license will allow the strategy to continue startup.

What success looks like

When the key is accepted, NinjaTrader should allow the strategy to enable and the log may show:

TradeReign strategy license valid: active

If you contact support, include your TradeReign account email and the log message. Do not send screenshots that expose your full license key unless support asks for it.

How to check the NinjaTrader Log

License messages appear in the NinjaTrader Control Center Log. This is the first place to check if the strategy does not enable.

  1. Open NinjaTrader Control Center.
  2. Select the Log tab near the bottom of the Control Center window.
  3. If you do not see it, use the Control Center tabs and look for Log next to items like Orders or Executions.
  4. Enable the strategy again, then watch the newest log messages at the bottom.
  5. Look for messages that begin with TradeReign strategy license.
  6. Send TradeReign support the exact message if activation does not work.

Common license messages

Important

If you lose the key before saving it, TradeReign cannot show that same key again. Contact support and ask for a rotated key. A rotated key replaces the old key.

If you move to a new computer, contact support and ask for a machine reset.
